Adult Learn to Play scrimmage
Winterland LTP and East Alton LTP play Friendship Game June 2018
TWO Programs in 2020
The "Extended Learn to Play" will be more of an educational program for learning the many facets of the Game. For example, Fore-checking, Back-checking, Power Play, Penalty Kill, Stick-check, Poke-check, Offensive and Defensive play, Gap control, Breakouts, changing on the fly, Front of net presents, plus passing. With a game on the last session.
We will offer two Extended Learn to Play Program in 2020.
Session #1: March 15 to May 3 Webster Groves Ice Rink (6 weeks) (Program #30)
Session #2: July 6 to August 24 Brentwood Ice Rink (8 weeks) (Program #7)
It is our intent to give our participants a wide spectrum of hockey exposure. We know that in the few weeks we have with them we cannot teach everything there is to know about the Game but what we can do is plant a whole lot of seeds and give the participants a wide variety of things to think about.
Each day includes a 30 minute classroom session and an hour of ice time. Each classroom is a discussion on a certain topic which is then the theme for the hour long ice session.
But most important is that the participants have fun. There is no doubt that the better you get the more fun you have playing but you have to start somewhere and we think our Winterland Adult Learn to Play programs are the best place to start.
Cost: includes ice, Instructors and all fees
Extended Learn to Play Session #2 $235 8 weeks
